Dr. Victoria Casso is from Elmont, NY where she grew up in racing at Belmont Racetrack. In 2015, she completed her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science at the University of Kentucky. During her undergraduate studies, she worked at Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital as a surgical assistant. Dr. Casso then received her veterinary degree from North Carolina State University in 2019 while working in their equine hospital providing overnight in-patient treatments and care.
Following graduation, she has worked on racetracks in the New York and the Mid-Atlantic area as an associate. Her professional interests include upper airway endoscopy, lameness and Thoroughbred aftercare initiatives. Dr. Casso is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Association of Equine Practitioners, and the Florida Association of Equine Practitioners.
She is bilingual and fluent in Spanish. In her spare time, she enjoys biking, going to the beach and playing mixed doubles pickleball with her husband, Brice.
